US: Plans for the unbiased boutique resort Backbeat, designed by Studio Rodrigo Buelvas and Jonathan Splitt Architects, have been unveiled forward the property’s scheduled opening 2028.

The six-storey resort will probably be constructed on the location of Yoshi’s Café which closed in 2021. Demolition of the present construction is anticipated later this yr.

The 41,000-square-foot property, situated within the Northalsted neighbourhood of Chicago, will characteristic a street-level restaurant, a below-ground lounge, and a rooftop pool and bar with a retractable roof. Its 50 visitor rooms will embody 12 suites.

Design will probably be directed Miami-based Studio Rodrigo Buelvas in collaboration with Chicago-based Jonathan Splitt Architects.

Highlights:

Backbeat Resort has revealed plans for a 50-room resort in Chicago’s Northalsted district.

Facilities embody a rooftop pool and bar with skyline views, retractable roof, plus a restaurant, lounge, and social areas.

Led by Jonathan Splitt Architects with design path from Studio Rodrigo Buelvas.
