UK: Independent family-owned hotel Hempstead House in Sittingbourne, Kent, has received its first four-star accreditation from the AA.
Hempstead House has been awarded a four-star hotel accreditation and a Rosette for its dining facilities from the AA, upgrading its previous position from a three-star property.
The award follows a period of investment from the hotel owners and management team to drive the business forwards.
Owner of Hempstead House Amanda Holdstock said: “We are honoured to receive this four-star accreditation from the AA. We strive to be recognised officially locally, nationally and overseas and this quality assurance is a very proud achievement. It reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, who consistently strive for excellence in everything we do. This accreditation further motivates us to continue delivering exceptional standards to our clients and customers.”
Mike Wood, general manager, added: “This is a reward for the team and I congratulate every member of staff who have shared our vision to achieve this accreditation. We will be opening the champagne very soon to reward our staff members for their commitment to work together as a family – they run the hotel, I just make decisions! This is a very exciting time for the future of the hotel and spa.”
The star accreditation from the AA ranges from one to five with an emphasis across six key areas: cleanliness, service, food, bedrooms, bathrooms, and hospitality.
