Boo! It’s the week before Halloween, and this pumpkin-spiced list of things to do in Philadelphia is all treats, no tricks.

One of the largest rowing competitions in the world comes to Philadelphia this week as the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta welcomes thousands of athletes and spectators from around the world (Saturday & Sunday).

Foodies in Philly have a lot on their plates as the Cookbooks & Convos series comes to a close with events at Sor Ynez (Monday), Vedge and Superfolie (both on Tuesday). It’s also the final fall weekend to check out the flavorful Southeast Asian Market in FDR Park (Saturday & Sunday).

As Halloween creeps closer, Philly ups the spooky season vibes with kid-friendly events like Fall Fest & Spooky Saturday on East Passyunk Avenue (Saturday) and adults-only parties like the Haunted Barbie Halloween Party at The Twisted Tail (Saturday).

Meanwhile, Red October takes on another meaning in Old City as redcoat reenactors patrol the streets as part of the Museum of the American’s Occupied Philadelphia celebration (Saturday & Sunday).

Also happening this week: the Philadelphia Film Festival (through Sunday), a 5th Anniversary Party at Cherry Street Pier (Friday) and South Street Headhouse District’s PumpkinFest (Saturday).

With so much going on this week, you’re gonna want to stay over. Book the Visit Philly Overnight Package and get free hotel parking and choose-your-own-adventure perks, including two tickets to The Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, or the National Constitution Center and the Museum of the American Revolution. Or get cozy with the new Visit Philly 3-Day Stay hotel package, which includes buy-two-get-one-free hotel nights at participating hotels.
