Oregon’s Westward Whiskey has created a cult-like following in recent years thanks to the company’s crafting and distilling of exceptional American Single Malts that’s made the company the toast of America’s Pacific Northwest.
Westward, founded by Thomas Mooney and Christian Krogstad and led by charismatic Master Blender, Miles Munroe, is inspired by the unique culture, climate and natural ingredients of the region.
“Westward takes the best of craft ale and whiskey traditions, brewing like a craft ale, distilling like a single malt, and ageing like a Bourbon,” Monroe says.

It’s no surprise with such a high quality that Westward produces that all of the Westward core expressions have earned Gold or better at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, with the Cask Strength crowned Whisky Advocate’s number five whiskey in the world.
To find out more about the company and what makes the releases so unique, Wayfarer TV host and Editor-In-Chief, James Wilkinson, spoke exclusively on camera to Monroe in Oregon recently (and to view the video, click on the YouTube image above).
