US: The Atlas Lodge, operated by Highgate, has opened its doorways within the Allston neighbourhood of Boston, Massachusetts.
Developed by Tishman Speyer in collaboration with Harvard College, The Atlas sits close to the financial institution of the Charles River which divides Boston. It comprises 246 visitor rooms, together with 12 suites.
Designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects with interiors by New York-based INC Structure & Design, the lodge will function on all-electric power, with rainwater harvesting bioswales and inexperienced infrastructure contributing to LEED Gold and Fitwell certifications.
The property features a area for Harvard’s scholar bookstore The COOP, and the college will even have a presence inside the lodge with a retail space providing clothes and merchandise.
